Hi, I’m Greg Reeves, the craftsman behind The Wood Life.

I started this business during the pandemic with a small laser, a stack of hardwood, and a simple goal: to create meaningful, high-quality pieces that people can enjoy for years. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a full woodworking and laser-engraving shop serving customers across North Texas and beyond.

 

I handcraft each item from my workshop in Melissa, Texas — from live-edge boards and custom cutting boards to slate coasters, ornaments, and personalized designs. I’ve always believed that handmade pieces carry a different kind of value. They’re intentional. They’re built with care. And they tell a story.

 

My wife and family have supported me from day one, and this business has become a part of our everyday life. Whether preparing for local craft shows or fulfilling online orders, I focus on creating products that feel special — pieces people are proud to give as gifts or display in their homes.
